Bocce Tournament
Nothing says Italian quite like Bocce, the beloved game that traces its roots back to ancient Rome. Whether you're an experienced player or simply a fan of the sport, the Maryland Italian Festival invites you to join the excitement on the courts all weekend long.
Friday – Open Play & Practice
Warm up for the competition with open play and practice sessions available for teams competing in Saturday's tournament.
Saturday – Open Bocce Tournament - Register Your Team!
Gather your team and compete for cash prizes in our double-elimination tournament, beginning at 10:00 AM.
Cash Prizes
- 1st Place: $2,400
- 2nd Place: $1,200
- 3rd Place: $800
- 4th Place: $400
Tournament play is limited to 16 teams, so early registration is encouraged.
To complete your entry, please submit both the registration form and payment.
Team Information Package Includes
- Team of four players
- Four Maryland Italian Festival admissions
- One VIP Parking Pass per team
Entry Fee: $400 per team
All tournament proceeds benefit the Special Olympics.
Teams should check in at the Festival entrance upon arrival and then report to the Bocce Courts to receive their tournament schedule and instructions. Competition is expected to continue through late afternoon.

Sunday – Special Olympics Bocce Showcase
Join us at 11:00 AM as we celebrate the spirit of competition and community by welcoming Special Olympics athletes to the courts for a demonstration tournament. Come cheer on these outstanding competitors and enjoy a memorable display of sportsmanship and skill.

Tournament Rules
Tournament play will follow modified rules based on those of the United States Bocce Federation. Tournament Management reserves the sole authority to conduct and administer the competition. All rulings are final. Good sportsmanship is expected from all participants; inappropriate conduct may result in removal from both the tournament and the Festival.
